Fireworks safety reminders
Fireworks can cause serious injury or fire when used incorrectly. Always read the product label and follow the law and instructions in your area.
- Use only products legally permitted in your area and buy only from properly licensed sellers.
- Use fireworks outdoors in a clear, open area and maintain the distance stated on the product label.
- Keep children supervised by a responsible adult; never let children light fireworks alone.
- Keep water or suitable fire-control equipment nearby and never relight a dud firework.
- Do not use fireworks near people, animals, vehicles, buildings, dry vegetation or flammable materials.
- Follow local time limits, noise rules, licence conditions and all government directions.
- Do not modify fireworks or carry them in pockets. Store and handle them only as directed by the manufacturer.
